From shoot to share in five minutes
Portrait, engagement, and newborn sessions should not take an hour to deliver. Here is the fastest path from photos on disk to a client gallery link.
Portrait, engagement, and newborn sessions come with a fast turnaround expectation. Delivering the gallery the same day, or first thing the next morning, is part of what the client is paying for.
This is the fastest Artilio path from photos on disk to a client gallery link. No configuration. No customisation. Just delivery.
Before you start, one-time setup
These take five minutes once and save time on every future job:
- Set your gallery default settings: watermark on or off, download enabled or not.
- Set your subdomain (your-name.artilio.studio) so every gallery link looks professional.
- Optional: set up a gallery template with your standard chapter names.
The fast delivery workflow
[SHOT: The Artilio dashboard with "New gallery" prominently in view]
- Click "New gallery". Give it a name: "Davies Engagement Session, May 2026".
- Add chapters. For a portrait session, one chapter ("Photos") is often enough. For a newborn session, two or three ("Baby", "Family", "Detail shots").
- Drag your exported photos into the chapter. Artilio handles the upload in the background.
- Open the Share tab. Enter the client's email address. Choose their capabilities (typically: rate and comment, with download off unless you are delivering the final photos).
- Click Send. The client gets an email with their link.
That is it. Five steps. Under five minutes for a session with fewer than 100 photos if your connection is fast.
What the client sees right away
The client gets an email. They click the link and the gallery opens, on any device.
They can start rating photos immediately. Every rating appears in your dashboard in real time.
Doing it from the road
If you are shooting on location and want to pre-create the gallery structure while you are still at the venue:
"Create a draft gallery for today's engagement session with the Davies. Add two chapters: The park, Coffee shop."
Say this to the Artilio assistant (dashboard chat or Claude). The gallery is created and ready for upload when you get home. You have not opened a form.
The sneak peek variant
For clients who expect a same-day teaser: create the gallery, add a single chapter called "Teasers", and upload 5 to 10 of your best shots from the cull. Use a secret link with a 48-hour expiry and a max-uses limit of 1. The client gets one look. After that, they wait for the full delivery.
It takes 3 minutes. The client feels the job moving before you have finished culling.
What happens after delivery
From the moment the client opens the gallery, their activity is visible in your dashboard: which photos they viewed, which they rated, whether they left comments. You do not need to ask "did you get the photos?", you can see that they did.
When you are ready to deliver the full-resolution files, enable download on the gallery and the client gets a notification. No second email to compose. One toggle.
