Connect Artilio to Claude (MCP)
Connect Artilio to Claude.ai or Claude Desktop using the MCP connector. Run gallery commands from your usual AI assistant without switching apps.
Artilio ships an MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector. Connect it once and your Claude assistant can read your galleries, create new ones, manage access, and check client activity, all from inside Claude.ai or Claude Desktop.
You do not need to understand MCP to use this. The setup takes about two minutes.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants securely connect to external tools. When you connect Artilio via MCP, Claude gains the ability to take actions in Artilio on your behalf, with your permission, and only when you ask.
Connect via Claude.ai
- In Artilio, go to Account and open the Integrations tab.
- Click "Connect to Claude.ai" and copy the MCP connector URL.
- In Claude.ai, open Settings and go to Integrations.
- Add a new integration, paste the URL, and authorize it.
- You're connected. Start a new conversation in Claude.ai.

Connect via Claude Desktop
- In Artilio, go to Account and open the Integrations tab.
- Click "Set up Claude Desktop" and follow the instructions shown.
- The page gives you a JSON snippet to add to your Claude Desktop config file.
- Save the config file and restart Claude Desktop.
- Claude Desktop now shows an Artilio icon in the tool selector.
What you can ask Claude
Once connected, you can type in Claude.ai or Claude Desktop just as you would in the Artilio dashboard chat:
- "Create a gallery for tomorrow's engagement shoot."
- "Show me all galleries I shared in the last week."
- "Who has access to the Davies wedding gallery?"
- "Generate per-class links for the SP nr 5 school gallery."
- "How much storage am I using? What are my largest galleries?"
- "Revoke the guest link for the Johnson gallery."
Privacy and permissions
The MCP connector gives Claude read and write access to your Artilio account. It cannot access other users' data. You can revoke the connection at any time from Account → Integrations. Revoking immediately invalidates the connector token.
The MCP connector uses your Artilio account credentials. Never share the connector URL, treat it like an API key.
Troubleshooting
- If Claude says it cannot find your galleries, check that the MCP connector is still connected under Account → Integrations.
- If the connection was accidentally revoked, reconnect from Account → Integrations and update the token in Claude.ai or your Claude Desktop config.
- The MCP connector requires an active Artilio subscription. If your trial has expired, renew your plan first.
