Per-chapter visibility is Artilio's main differentiator. It lets you create one gallery with multiple chapters and then control, per access grant, which chapters each person can see.
One gallery. Two audiences. The couple sees everything. The guests see only ceremony and reception.
Why it matters
A typical wedding gallery has five chapters: Preparation, Ceremony, Portraits, Reception, and Boudoir. You want the couple to see all five. You want 200 wedding guests to see Ceremony, Portraits, and Reception, but not the Boudoir or Preparation chapters.
Without per-chapter visibility you have three bad options: create a second gallery with fewer photos (double work), add a password to the boudoir chapter (clumsy for the couple), or just give everyone everything (the couple's privacy gone). Artilio solves this cleanly.
How to set it up

- Open the gallery Share tab.
- Add the couple by email (named access) and give them every chapter.
- For the guests, limit access to only Ceremony, Portraits, and Reception. Today you do this by inviting them by email (per-person chapter visibility) or with the per-chapter link generator; scoping a single shared link to a chosen set of chapters is coming soon.
- Send the couple their link and paste the secret link into your wedding speech or family WhatsApp group.
The couple opens the gallery and sees five chapters. A guest opens the same gallery URL with the secret link and sees three chapters. The boudoir photos are never exposed to the guest audience.
Works for every genre
- Wedding, couple vs guests as above.
- School portraits, each parent sees only their child's class chapter.
- Commercial, client sees finished hero shots; art director also sees the "In progress" chapter with raw selects.
- Newborn session, mother sees all chapters; extended family link skips the private nursing chapter.
Tips
- You can add per-chapter visibility to a secret link. Combine this with a max-uses limit for one-time-only exclusive previews.
- If you add a new chapter to the gallery later, revisit each access grant to decide if the new chapter should be visible to that audience.
- Named access lets you set chapter visibility per person. Two people who each have named access can see different chapters.
